GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK

the threat of Communism created an air of paranoia in the United States and exploiting those fears was Senator Joseph McCarthy. CBS reporter Edward R. Murrow and his producer Fred W. Friendly decided to take a stand and challenge McCarthy and expose him for the fear monger he was. However, their actions took a great personal toll on both men, but they stood by their convictions and helped to bring down one of the most controversial senators in American history.

Its sad thing that edward R Murrow had to die in the end and also sadden that CBS was cancelled and was move to Sunday after noon instead of Friday nights at 10 pm. they have worked so hard to make difference in everyone lives and they try to open people minds to whats is going around them instead of being blinded and controlled by others, mostly like puppet.

the New State law proposed giving the city school chancellor the ability to override an Arbitrator decision to fire or penalize a teacher in a sex misconduct case. there simply no reason that teacher accused of sexual misconduct should have great job security than other city employees  The arbitration cases are known as 3020-a hearings, after the section of the State Education Law that guarantees tenured teachers a chance to defend themselves. Supporters of the process say that having a neutral third party is crucial because teachers can be too easily targeted by students or principals with whom they have clashed.

The difference between hard news and soft news

journalism  is divided into two types hard new and soft news. hard news is basically up to the minute news the news that are reported immediately. while soft news is back round information (aka human interest stories) such as arts, entertainment, and life style or reporting on school problems or gun shots in local area anything that advise the reader about a certain thing. but hard new reports on politics, war, economic and crime. anything that effects the people decision making and etc. hard new ask what happen?, who involved? where?, when did it happen? and why

the difference between hard and soft news would help you understand a sense of how reporters or journalism cover news and what kinds of stories different news media  would used to publish or media.this could be useful when you want to create your own  article or even influence the broadcast your self in the future.

Justice Department Investigation Is Sought in Florida Teenager’s Shooting Death

By

the fact that a 17 year old boy was shot in cold blood bring up concerns about how Florida law system works, basically the it allows people to kill people outside of their homes if they are in reasonable fear for their lives its low standards. even so it doesn't give George Zimmerman who's 28yrs of age and weights more then the victim the rights to shot a person who's unarmed and caring skittles and ice tea drink claiming it was self defense. its seems to me its more of heavy rascal over tone, which can results to dispute against different races.
